Food & Feeding

  • The puppy food your breeder is feeding (transition slowly if you change brands)
  • Two stainless steel or ceramic bowls — one for food, one for water
  • A small treat pouch for training
  • Soft, small training treats

Crate & Bedding

  • An appropriately sized crate with a divider (see our crate sizing guide)
  • A washable crate pad or mat
  • A cozy dog bed for outside the crate
  • A washable blanket (a scent-covered one from the breeder helps the transition)

Walking & Safety

  • A properly fitted collar or harness
  • A lightweight leash (4–6 feet)
  • An ID tag with your contact info
  • Microchip registration details (if your puppy is microchipped)

Grooming Supplies

  • A slicker brush and a steel comb for daily coat care
  • Puppy-safe shampoo
  • Nail clippers or a grinder
  • Gentle grooming wipes for quick cleanups

Toys & Enrichment

  • Soft plush toys and a couple of durable chew toys
  • A treat-dispensing puzzle toy or Kong
  • A variety of textures — but always size-appropriate to avoid choking

Potty & Cleaning

  • Puppy pads for the transition period
  • An enzymatic cleaner designed for pet accidents
  • Plenty of paper towels

Health & Vet

  • A first vet appointment scheduled within the first few days home

A Quick Note Before You Browse 🐾

Thank you so much for visiting Cedar Wood Farms! Right now a very large number of families are reaching out about puppies, and our communication has fallen behind. I physically can't keep up with every message as quickly as I'd like, and our flight nannies are also stretched thin at the moment.

To keep our five-star rating and make sure every family's experience stays personal, I'm taking a short step back to get caught up. If you've already messaged us, you haven't been forgotten. We're working through every message and will get back to you as soon as we can. Please send just one message on one platform. Duplicate messages slow things down for everyone.

We are so grateful for each and every one of our families, and we truly appreciate your patience during this busy season.

With love,
Mikaela & the Cedar Wood Farms Family
