A Personal Note From Mikaela

I am so incredibly grateful for each and every family who has reached out wanting to become part of the Cedar Wood Farms family. 🤍

God has truly blessed our business beyond anything I could have ever imagined, and I never want a single person to feel overlooked, unimportant, forgotten, or like their questions do not matter.

One thing I have heard far too many times from families is, “I feel like I’m annoying you when I send multiple messages.”

Please hear me when I say this: NO, YOU ARE NOT.

You are not bothering me. You are not being annoying. Your questions matter. Your experience matters. Your excitement matters. Your concerns matter. And if you are trusting us to help you find a puppy who will become part of your family, then I completely understand why you may have a lot of questions along the way.

Never feel bad for reaching out again.

I am ADHD, and I am sure a lot of people can relate to how easy it can be to open a message with every intention of responding, get pulled into something else, and then realize later that the message was never answered. Add in caring for puppies, working with our team, coordinating pickups and deliveries, scheduling flight nannies, answering current puppy families, updating our website, handling paperwork, keeping up with social media, and everything else that goes into running Cedar Wood Farms, and some days my inbox moves faster than I can keep up with it.

With that being said, I want to be completely transparent with everyone.

Right now, I am personally the one responding to the majority of our messages across Facebook Messenger, Instagram, text messages, website inquiries, and other forms of communication. We are incredibly blessed to receive a large number of inquiries, but there are simply days when there are not enough hours to answer every single message as quickly as I would like.

If you have reached out and have not received a response, please never assume that I am ignoring you.

I promise that is not the case.

Sometimes a message gets pushed farther down in my inbox. Sometimes I read it while I am in the middle of something and plan to come back to it. Sometimes I am working with another family, caring for puppies, at the veterinarian, coordinating transportation, or simply trying to keep up with everything happening behind the scenes.

That is exactly why I want you to BUMP YOUR MESSAGE.

Seriously — send another message.

You can say, “Just bumping this up,” “Following up,” or even just send me a quick emoji. Whatever helps move your message back to the top of my inbox is perfectly okay.

Please do not sit there worrying that you are bothering me.

You are helping me.

I would much rather have someone send me another message than have a family think I do not care about them or their questions.

Your experience with Cedar Wood Farms matters deeply to me.

When I first started this business, I was able to be extremely personal with every single family. I had more time for long conversations, getting to know everyone individually, answering every little question immediately, and building genuine friendships with so many of our puppy families.

That part of this business has always meant so much to me.

As Cedar Wood Farms has grown, I am more grateful than ever. Truly. It is an incredible blessing to have so many people trust us and recommend us to their friends and family.

But growth also comes with challenges that people may not always see.

The truth is that there are days when I barely have enough time for my own family because I am trying so hard to make sure everything at Cedar Wood Farms is taken care of. I am constantly balancing puppies, clients, employees, transportation, paperwork, photos, messages, appointments, and all of the little things that happen behind the scenes.

I do not say that for sympathy.

I say it because I want our families to understand that if my response takes longer than expected, it is never because you are unimportant to me.

Quite the opposite.

The reason I stay so involved is because I care so much about the experience our families receive.

We are currently looking to hire someone to help with responding to messages and assisting with communication. I will admit that I have been extremely hesitant and very picky about this.

The main reason is simple: no one cares about your business quite as much as you do.

Cedar Wood Farms is not just a business to me. It is something I have poured my heart, time, energy, and life into. Our puppy families are incredibly important to me, and I never want communication to become cold, generic, or impersonal simply because we have grown.

Whoever helps with our families needs to genuinely care.

I want someone who understands that the person asking a question on the other side of the phone may be choosing the puppy they have dreamed about for years. They may be nervous. They may be excited. They may have children waiting at home. They may be trusting us with a very important decision.

That deserves kindness, patience, and a personal experience.

Until I find the right person, I am going to continue doing everything I possibly can to stay personally involved.

So please, please be patient with me — but also please be persistent.

If you need me, message me again.

If I forgot to answer a question, remind me.

If you are waiting on photos, an update, paperwork, transportation information, or anything else, follow up with me.

You will never hurt my feelings by reminding me.

I would much rather receive five messages from you than find out later that you were sitting there feeling forgotten.

And if you are one of the families who has been patient with me, checked back in, given me grace on a busy day, recommended Cedar Wood Farms to someone else, shared one of our posts, sent us an update about your puppy, or simply trusted us enough to bring one of our babies into your home — thank you.

I truly cannot express how much it means.

Every puppy who leaves Cedar Wood Farms becomes part of another family’s story, and that is something I never take lightly.

Our growth would not be possible without the families who continue to support us, believe in us, recommend us, and allow us to be part of such an exciting chapter in their lives.

I want every single one of our families to know this:

You matter to us.

Your puppy matters to us.

Your questions matter to us.

Your experience matters to us.

And you are never “annoying” for reaching out.
