Size Ranges for Our Breeds
Here are the typical adult size ranges for the breeds we raise. Use these as a starting point, not a fixed promise.
- Cavapoo — typically 10–18 pounds, 9–14 inches tall
- Mini Bernedoodle — typically 15–35 pounds, 12–22 inches tall
- Toy Bernedoodle — smaller end of the Bernedoodle range
- Australian Mountain Doodle — a sturdy, athletic medium-to-large doodle
Why Adult Size Is Always an Estimate
Designer breeds are crosses, not purebreds, which means there's natural variation in every litter. A puppy's final adult size depends on the genetics of both parents, the generation of the cross, and plain biological variation — just like human siblings end up different heights.
No responsible breeder can guarantee an exact adult weight. Anyone who promises a precise number isn't being honest. We can give you a well-informed estimate, but nature always has the final say.
How We Estimate Size
We look at the weights of both parents, track each puppy's growth against past litters, and factor in the breed mix and generation. Over years of raising these crosses, our estimates are usually close — but we'll always present them as estimates, not guarantees.
Don't Let Size Be Your Only Filter
It's tempting to shop by size alone, but temperament, energy, and coat care matter just as much to your daily life. A dog whose size is perfect but whose energy doesn't fit your home won't feel like the right match. Let us help you balance all of it.
